Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, chopped (or use strawberry jam for convenience)

For the sandwich:

  • 8 slices of white bread (soft and square; crusts removed if desired)
  • 1 egg + 2 tbsp milk (for egg wash)
  • Butter or oil for frying

For coating (optional but recommended):

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Make the filling:
    • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
    • Gently fold in chopped strawberries. (Or spread jam directly if using.)
  2. Assemble the sandwiches:
    • Flatten bread slices slightly with a rolling pin.
